NEW LOGO - Courtney Chau Makeup Artistry

After some confusion from clients on who the Makeup Artist is behind Bless Makeup Artistry, I have decided to go with a new logo.

I knew I wanted a logo design that was simple, yet classic (to stand the test of time). So...I reached out to one of my favorite graphic designer, Thuy Ha, owner of HA Design Studio. When you visit the studio website you can see how truly professional her work is. Her portfolio of clients range between Hi-Tech - Medical - Restauranteurs -Start-up and Beauty companies.

I really loved that she took her time to design a logo that appropriately represented my work in the beauty industry - simple, natural, fresh and classic. I am very happy with my logo and it really confirms Thuy's understanding of design, when clients and friends have said to me "The logo is very you!".

I highly recommend you use HA Design Studio for your next design project!

Blessings,
Courtney Chau

Style Me Pretty Magazine - Best of 2011 Weddings

I'm excited to see one of my favorite photographers, Carlie Stasky featured in Style Me Pretty Magazine and 7x7 Magazine! It was at this featured wedding where I assisted with makeup that I met Carlie. And of course after meeting Carlie and seeing how truly talented and amazing her work is, I made a mental note to myself "when I get married, she would be my photographer of choice". I am getting married this year and we are so excited to have her document our special day!

By adding in a simple braid to garnish the sides of your hair, you can transform a normal bun to something red-carpet worthy.

Tips: Get this sultry, messy look by using your fingers to gently pick out some pieces and loosen the style. If you have layers, pull some strands out in the front as well.

Products Used: Thi Cosmetics - Foundation # 3, Aiko Blush, Sying Eyeshadow & Lush Lashes, and Lan Lip-Gloss

Fresh and Pretty Makeover for Spring!

Thao was ready for a change with her hair and also wanted to learn what makeup products would best suit her. That's where hairstylist, Cali Pham and I came in! :)

As you can see Cali did a great job creating Thao an updated cut complemented by a rich auburn brown hair color. The cut really softened her features and the rich auburn brown suited her complexion best!

This Spring makeup is all about achieving a fresh even complexion with a pop of pink on the cheeks and soft pink lips. Using a few of my favorite products from Thi Cosmetics, I created the look above. Products used were:

Skin -Foundation # 3 /Mineral Face Powder # 2
Eyes - Dao Eyeshadow & Lush Lashes
Cheeks- Sakura Blush
Lips- Lan Lipgloss
